The Contaminant Separator integrates fiber defibering and impurity separation as one unit, serving as supporting equipment for continuous pulping systems.
Coarse light and heavy contaminants as well as wet-strength paper fragments generated during disintegration in the hydrapulper accumulate in the reject tank. Pulp mixed with paper scraps and massive heavy contaminants overflows into the reject separator.
Driven by its rotor, accept pulp passes through the screen plate to the next process. Heavy impurities are discharged periodically via the slag collecting tank, while light contaminants remain inside the separator.
They are regularly flushed and pumped to the cylindrical screen for screening before discharge. This machine prevents contaminants from being further shredded during pulping, reduces the load of subsequent equipment, and boosts the production capacity of the hydrapulper.
